I'm so sorry because I haven't post anything lately. It's because I was so lazy :D
But today I am going to post about buying things online. It's not actually tips but, oh well...
DISCLAIMERS:
Most of these tips I got online and from workshops I went.
I didn't mean to offend any party. I write based on my original thought and opinions
I wasn't paid by any parties I mention below to promote them
First tips.
If you're going to buy in Facebook online shops (I guess such things are located in Indonesia mostly) read the testimonials section. The testimonials are often captured from the phone and posted in one album (MOSTLY). If it's not exsist, I wouldn't buy. Because if nobody ever praised their services, you don't have any guarantees that they are trusted sellers. But I think many sellers have put testimonials or such things to gain people trust.
If you're going to shop in Website Shop, make sure the website is verified by many parties such as Visa or mastercard. For examples http://www.blibli.com/

Second tips.
Ask for the shipping receipt if you're shopping in unofficial online shop. You'll need this to trace your package. I know some people don't care about that and prefer to ask the seller directly but it's better to know the code and trace it yourself. You'll not be fooled by the seller or make the seller annoyed to you. It's very simple. Just open the Shipping Online Website and click trace packages or something like that. Enter the code you got and you'll know the status of your package. If it is 'on delivery' status you should wait patiently and never ask the seller thousand times why the package hasn't come because it's useless, the package has already been on the shipping company and there are no ways the seller can accelerate the shipping process
But sometimes if you're randomly check the status directly after you received the package the status may haven't been updated yet. But it's good your package is here :D
Third tips.
Ask for estimated time the package arrive. I usually do this because whenever the package is late I will asked the seller.
Fourth tips.
Ask specifically the product's details, including the size (in grams, ml, oz for beauty products hips, bust, waist, length, etc for clothing), the resemblance with the photos shown, the texture (creamy, liquid, pact for cosmetic product velvet, silk, leather, denim, etc for clothing). For cosmetic and beauty products, I find it's very helpful if you search for reviews on the product to know the ingredients and the effect in person. Also ask for the right shade for your skin, ladies..

You should check those details because you don't wanna regret buying the products and wasting your money right? I have some experience related to product's details I have ever been tricked once by the photo. In the photo the products appeared big. But when the product came I was very surprised that the package was so tiny and the product was just in a very small jar and contained only 3grams. It was every body's fault. I was so stupid and don't know that the package would be so small and the seller 'tricked' me by the photograph and didn't disclose the exact size.
It's kinda usual for online shops to show good stuffs because it is part of marketing and business and I don't blame them. It is us who need to learn and proactive to ask. And I think the seller is obligated to answer any questions related to the products that customers should know.
Sincerely,
Nathasa
